just curious, being most turbos are oil cooled, how many of you are using an aftermarket oil cooler? and is it a necessity

 

Im using with DD D16 dohc with hy35.. Next year gonna run d16z6.. Oil temp stays betweenn 80-90c, but have no track experience, only quarter mile.

 

Most people do not run oil coolers. Oil temps 200 usually and will reach 220 ish on the average setup when boosting. Running specialty oils with zinc addatives and synthetics are designed for higher temps and better wet protection so temps aren't as big an issue
