Default Tell me how my 3rd gear sleeve and 5th gear look!

Just wanted to post a few pictures and get some opinions if I could. I tore my trans down, and this being the first one I've ever done, I'm not 100% sure how much wear is acceptable. This trans has about 60k miles on it. Please forgive me for not being the best photographer on the planet lol...

Here are some shots of the 3rd gear sleeve. FYI 3rd gear NEVER gave me any problems at all, and it's synchro looks pretty cherry (synchro will be replaced anyway). Does it look like the sleeve should be replaced too??

And now some shots of the 5th gear itself. 5th gear gave me MAJOR issues. It had horrendous popout problems, and I pretty much had to hold the gear in place while driving. The sychronizer spring is GONE, and so is the sleeve. But how bad does this gear look? I think it looks pretty decent, but I'm not an expert...

And just for fun, some pics of the TOASTED 5th gear sleeve!!!

Both will work okay. They just have the usual wear and tear from metal always hitting metal all day long for years on end. Nothing abnormal. But replace the sleeve if you've got the funds to do so, but it's not necessary.

Yep, in regards to the sleeve/slider i've seen worse, but if you have everthing apart i'd replace it, the gear looks fine though as does 5th gear.

I've seen in the Honda FSM that replacement of the sleeve and hub is recommended as a set. Is it ok to replace just the sleeve?

I've always replaced just the sleeve, but i'm cheap. I always used a used sleeve too just because I normally had a few transmissions sitting around for parts.

Depends how the hub looks. If there is no scoring, you can definitely get away with it without worries. If there is scoring, you may or may not have issues even with a new sleeve. Totally case-by-case.

Damn, well there is some light scoring, but nothing excessive.

My biggest dilemma is Honda doesn't sell anything separate. So I'll have to order the entire package (3rd gear, 3rd synchro, 3/4 hub, 3/4 sleeve, and 4th synchro). The USDM 3rd gear won't even work for this tranny, because it's jdm and came with a different ratio for 3rd.

So ive recently removed my gearbox and have the same issue.. I have e 2 hubs worn.. 3rd and 4th and 5th gear hubs are toasted... Funny thing is if you turn 5th gear hub the other way where the teeth are not worn because theres no 6th gear.. What I've done is swaped it the other way around.. would this work.. My syncro is mint.. Ive recently done this and im unsure will it work and casue some issues.. I see there are little groves there for something on the inside of the hub so they must do something im just worried now That i may cause damage as the gearbox is still out i said id ask.. Anyome help on this, like is there up side on thw hub for 5th and if you put it in the other way would it work

Thanks mud
