K20z3 Flashing Check Engine Light
Hey folks. I have a problem with my 06 Civic Si. Last week I installed RDX injectors, a Boomba rail, and I pulled off my valve cover to do a custom paintjob on it.
After getting my car tuned and driving around in it for a while I noticed that the CEL would flash every once in a while, not often, but maybe once every minute or so. This was a week ago.
More recently, the light has been flashing quite regularly, almost every 5 seconds or so. I checked the injector wires, and the fuel line, they all seem tight and proper. After I checked that, I popped off the spark plug cover, and found that I had forgotten to tighten the bolts holding the spark plugs down. All four plugs had been forced upwards by maybe a centimeter, and were being held in the cylinder by the spark plug cover. F*cking dumb on my part, I know.
So I tightened them down, reassembled the motor, reset the ECU and started the car up again. The CEL is now flashing every second, and my Flashpro isn't reading an error code of any kind.
Do any of you know what kind of damage I could have done? Any ideas on what could be wrong? I spoke to the service manager at my local Honda dealer and they have no idea what the problem could be.
My car is running smoothly by the way, and doesn't seem to have any apparent problems besides the C.E.L.
