Default 99 GSR Build Up... (99 GSR, 350 to 450 hp)

Bought a 99 GSR, the one previously sold by WhiteGSRt on this very forum, its a nice little car, but quite the laundry list of issues...
http://hondamarketplace.com/showthread.php?t=2659961
Goal: 350 - 450 hp (depends on how carried away i get)

Current: Turbonetics Turbo (unknown spec)
Broken Vortech BOV
ebay piping (? its unmarked and looks like crap)
VAFC Fuel Controller
PLX M500 Wideband Controller and Wireless Datalogger
T3/T4OE 57 trim
Vortech BOV
Turbosmart Wastegate
Open Atmosphere Wastegate Dump Tube
FMIC
2.5" Turbine Outlet
3.0" Mandrel Bent Exhaust Tubing
3.0" magnaflow muffler
RC 440 Injectors
MSD Sport Compact Ignition Controller
MSD Blaster SS Distributor Cap
(Electronics are all over the place, spliced wires and crap... either gonna pull em and redo the right way or atleast find out what half of it is... also i have 3 switches hooked up to VAFC, and no clue what they do... all i know is 3rd one cuts off all power to the car...)

Planned:
Full Race Prostreet B Series Turbo Kit (http://www.full-race.com/catalog/pro...oducts_id=2166)
Stage 2 Clutch (undecided which is best)
Kteller 3 inch exhaust kit, with HKS muffler
Hondata
rewire gauges
AV Engineering stage 2 kit for engine, or stage 3 if i decide 400+ hp

So far:
-9/5/2010
Picked up a set of Volk TE37's (used and got em for 600$, with brand new tires)
New brakes, and rotors
-9/7/2010
Pulled IAC Valve, Cleaned, charged batter...
current issues: Stalls when rpms drop to idle, battery is being drained...
New IAC? alternator checks out, possible wiring issue? BOV broken aswell.

Long pause currently... removed lip to find that i am missing almost 12 inches of my front bumper, and its almost destroyed on the inside, same with the rear bumper... rigged together and painted over poorly, both will have to be replaced... anyone know a good body kit that fits with an intercooler? was thinking of getting something with a little down force on the front... maybe so canards... ideas?

also pipes are rusted inside the intercooler (lol...) not sure how it happens but grats to previous owner, so im going to have to toss most everything

A stage 2 clutch isn't going to hold 450whp

If you paid 4k just to take everything out then your not thinking right. You would have been better off buying a shell and fresh JDM SiR-G (aka JDM Gs-R) and going turbo.

Where do you work and do you live on your own? Just consider other people's situations. I don't know you but 4k for a car and then throw it all out is a waste. That is evident.

That is not a waste AT ALL to get the car where he wants it. I would rather pay 4k and get the car, spend the extra money so I actually know what is done to the car and how it was done. The parts he pulls off can easily be sold on ebay or craigslist. Why not contribute to the thread instead of trying to bring the guy down.

well, havent done much, i got engine disassembled and looked over a little, the manifold and down pipe are trash, along with the exhaust and thanks lsd96teg. I repainted parts of it where it was painted like a 4 year old with color markers. i get to order a whole new seatbelt assembly for driver side, and apparently i have to have a hole helicoiled because its stripped out and was jb welded in place... sigh... awesome job

have you decided on axles? Cuz 450hp on stock axles will rip them apart if you launch it and you know not everything is going to be from a roll... especially if you take it to the track...
