I want some more toys then just my car, I was thinking about getting

A) a small boat

or

B) a 450cc-700cc lightweight race quad.

Do you think my car would be able to toe these if I got a hitch. The engine came from a suv and has allot of toruqe, the only this that concerns me would be the b16 trans...

Last thing I wasnt is to F my car up, but if it would be possible that would be cool too.

Opinions? thoughts? am I crazy?

hhaaha.. it should..ive pulled and eclipse through a canyon with mine before.... not sure about long term tho... couldnt see why not... and not sure how large of a tow hitch you are allowed to put on a civic.. the only ones i have seen were the small ones...

 

my neighbor used to tow a small sailboat with a '98 coupe, bone stock, 5 speed, had no problems.

 

could you? sure.

should you... the owners manual says specifically not to use for towing and not to add a tow hitch. that's partly based on the drivetrain- and you've got a better-than-stock set up- but it's more so based on braking and handling. anything that seats five can pull a boat... slowing a boat down and keeping it from driving you is a different story.

all that to say, see what the towing capacity for a CR-V is and make sure you're brakes and tires are in excellent shape.

oh, if your suspension is lowered... no.
