Default 5th gen Intercooler pipe routing with ABS

Ok, so let me start with a picture of the problem.

my current routing goes through the radiator support, but I need to either reroute the pipes or fab up a new end tank. I would like to avoid the ladder. It looks to me like I am going to either hit the ABS unit OR I will have to cut what looks to be a pretty important part of the chassis to bring it through where the wiper bottle is.

Anyone had experience with this?

Take out the washer reservoir? I believe that's what Andryzzle did

take it easy dude, they gave correct information cause both have seen my setup in person. the main difference is going to be your manifold setup. show a better picture of your turbo placement and orientation. with my log it was simple to go through that hole with a little enlargement

Seriously cupcake?

I've seen plenty of turbo Accord setups both in person and online, I'm sure tamadrummer has seen the same. As you can see from Andryzzle's post, both tama and I were correct and not just "post whoring"

Also, it's not avoiding the ladder, unless there is one sitting in the freeway - it's "latter"

Well sorry if I'm an *******. However, if you had read the last part of my post, you would see that I was asking a more specific question about bringing it through the wiper bottle hole, or ideas on what others had done instead.

I think my headlights protrude further into the engine bay than factory headlights do. There is not enough room on my car for my 2.5" piping to go through that hole without doing some serious cutting or ditching abs.

Andryzzle, what size pipe do you have coming off of the turbo?

yO MAN PM ME YOUR number... We can blab.\

Being a ramhorn, NONE of these pictured options are viable...

DB:
If your compressor is on the DS, backdoor it and make a new endtank. I cut the **** out of the core support in mine, no issues. Ill send you more pics if neccessary

Because of my setup I had the same issue and could not easily run the piping over the top and down through the washer bottle hole. So I did something a bit different and went right out through the side of the bay. There is a frame rail there but its only in the bottom 4" or so and I knocked out a hole right above it to pass through into the area where the washer res. would be. Of course that means you need to still remove the washer bottls with my routining cause you need room for the piping and bend in that area to come back around to the intercooler.

I can try to get a picture of the setup if you would like but I dont think I have any already online to link you right now.

extralargenog: Do you run a half size or custom length shortened radiator so you can come through with the piping there or did you open up the hole where the power steering cooler lines where to bring the piping through?

BTW I smoked my first setup of 3rd gears finally not long ago.

I made the hole where the cooler WAS WAYYY bigger cut it all out and rewelded the bottom of the core support together... and run a 1/2 radiator... Ill try to find more better pics for an idea. My PS cooler just loops around IN the engine bay (you cant see it, i "hid" it.)

Almost thinking about a 6765HP-R billet snail.

Oh I think I see what you did, interesting. If you do get more pics let me know I would like to see more about your radiator setup (civic/ teg half size?), intercooler piping route, etc.

I did the same with my PS cooler bar, its been removed and cut back the hard lines and did a bypass out of sight.

Considering it was a stock trans still other than the diff. I have to say it faired pretty well for all the beatings on it. Well I did crack a casing once on the dyno and thats been replaced too.

Better post an update when you do or hit a ninja up with PM on the new numbers when you max that t04z out. I am making some changes as well and going to lean on the 6265 billet a bit more. Cant have you get too far out on me. You got the ratios worked out for the MFactory setup I would like to take a look?, ratios might be too short for me since I dont turn the RPM you can with the H. I should give you a call sometime to shoot the ****, wonder if I still have your number in my phone.

Numbers the same, Mfactory set has a longer 2.8 first and the 2-4 are along the lines of a M2Y4... you use your choice of oem 5th or a cuff.... Ilike my short *** Saenz set, gets the heavy ol girl movin quick... Ya hit me up.

Peace

What is the actual difference in the aftermarket gears? better material, different design, etc...?
