if its leaking on the driver side, it maybe a waterpump leak.

The water pump has a weep hole and if it leaks, i believe, its time for a new one. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

My water pump was leaking very bad so i suspect that it could be the seal in the weep hole so i just replaced it and it fixed the leak.

I used a OEM water pump.

You're missing a power steering belt?

You would need the power steering pump/component with the belt

Make sure you don't make the timing belt tight which will cause premature wear on your water pump.

Doing a proper water pump job includes new timing belt and tensioner but if your friend is experience then he should know what he is doing.

GOOD LUCK AND HAVE FUN!
