Default d16y7 engine/d16y8 ECU in 96 EX: Wire harness/ECU and heater problems

Hey guys I bought a 96 ex civic 5 spd manual. with a d16y7 in it (NOT Y8 it was swapped) . Ok first of all its using a vtec ecu and y8 harness. Its throwing codes from it It has a y8 manifold installed. Now im wondering if I can just buy the y7 harness and ecu and my problems will be solved? And my other issue is my heat doesnt work inside the car.. ac i gone..but that shouldnt effect my heat. Jusst blows cool

The y7 harness and ECU should solve the code problems.

For the heater, check whether the coolant level is low and whether the heater valve is stuck closed due to a heater cable problem (near front passenger's left foot).

ok thanks...the y7 harness will still work even though i will be using a y8 manifold?

Yes, if your Y8 IM/TB is from a Civic with an auto tranny.

how do I know its from an auto?

It has a 3-wire IACV attached to the bottom of the TB.

OK i took some pics. One shows a 3 wire and 2 wire which one is the iacv. And if its a 2 wire I'm screwed right..then i have to mini me swap, I don't want to so is there anyway I can counter act the problem?.

so i take it i have the 2 wire iacv...now wat do i have to do in order to make it work with the y7 ecu/harness. Please respond in need of awnsers asap
