D16A6 with DPFI rumor...
k as most of you know my d15b2 broke one of its connecting rods and i had to swap in my A6 but i am not running mpfi with it but DPFI. since the d15b2 seems to run rich when converted to MPFI...is it true the A6 will run LEAN with the dpfi and is it bad for my engine ???
i'm loving the A6 right now especially with the Si tranny thats why i wanna make sure running lean until i get it back to MPFI won't do anything harmful in the long run....

starving the engine i don't know dude cuz i just pulled out the plugs and the motor is running mint. the plug tip is a light tan color meaning everything is fine if it was lean or rich wouldn't it be another color ????
it's not hurting the engine, the D15B2 and the D16A6 are nearly identical, aside from the injection, cam, and extra .1L of displacement. you can keep it on there as long as you want, but you're missing out on the fun of MPFI.

d15 intake manifold are restrictive as **** getting less air in tothe motor hence less fuel needed (2 injectors)
d15s have higher compression, different rods and pistons.
valve train is smaller
bleh bleh bleh. just because d16 **** bolts on to d15s doesnt make m the same at all
by you running dpfi on an a6 whih was designed for mpfi your motor prolly just has crap output now. less air and less fuel
Tortex makes a good point. The DPFI setup not only gives out less fuel, it also lets through less air. So it shouldn't really be running totally lean, it's just that the motor is being totally restricted from both air and fuel.
You should be fine.
...And somewhat sluggish...

yeah yeah i know the more i hear about it the more i'm tempted to take it apart and put the mpfi back on and figure out the bugs but i think i'm settled for now besides the sluggishness but i got the Si tranny to back it up for awhile
missing the mpfi fun....
