Ignition problem, please help!!!
Ok so I have a 2000 Honda Accord ex 4doors, and yesterday when I was gonna leave I accidentally entered the wrong key in the ignition, it spinned all the way and didn't start, when I looked at it, it was the wrong key. Now the problem is that it's stuck on option ( l ACC) and I can't get it to go back to option ( 0 Lock) please help I would like to see what options I have before going out to buy a new ignition. I've already tried unplugging the battery, moving the steering wheel, putting it on Neutral, Park, brake up...if anyone knows a solution please help thanks!
If you stuck a key with the wrong cut into the ignition, turned it and now it's stuck, you could try banging on the lock cylinder and wiggle the key at the same time. You'll have to remove the column covers to access the body of the ignition lock cylinder.
Otherwise, you're going to have to replace the whole thing. A lock smith can rekey the ignition lock cylinder to match your original keys as a conveinience.
