I recently purchased a 93 Prelude Si that had the H22 swap already done. The car ran great till last week it wouldnt start. I checked and it wasnt getting fuel. I then replaced the fuel filter, fuel pump, and main relay. It usually starts now , but it cuts out badly when you give it gas.
The check engine lite has been on ever since i got it, i was told it was an O2 sensor. Any advice would be appreciated..thanks ...Chris

 

Oh another thing, the tachometer suddenly goes haywire and a wierd clicking noise developed (sounds like the blinker is on but it isnt)

 

first things first does it idle normal under no load? if it does check to make sure you're getting both air and fuel, since you already took care of the fuel check air, the air filter butterfly, vaccume leaks tps etc.

 

Pull the CEL code/s yourself. That may help diagnose and solve the problem
quicker. There is a write up in the FAQ if you are unsure how.

 

if your low on oil it will cause your vtec to cut in and out or not even activate.

 

fuel injectors clogged? From bad gas?

 

Did you happen to clean your engine bay with that foam cleaner? Well i did, and it ruined my distributor. My car ran and sounded just like what your describing. It bogs out and hesitates. Had to replace the cap and rotor, spark plugs and wires. And it fired up properly. Do not use that Gunk engine cleaner.
