Default fresh b20 build - need spec- the right way

i have a b20 block with a gsr head with full bolt on's. i spun the bearing b/c the trans locked up and i over rev-ed it. im going with b20z block this time. whats recommended for internals and water/oil pumps, i currently have:

water pump-b18c1 usdm gsr
oil pump-b20 jdm
timing belt-b20 jdm
is that combo ok? also i dont know if my mechanic is bullshitting me b/c im not letting him work on my car anymore. i read up on the "how to build a reliable ls/vtec" and it doesnt match up

Should i change the rod bolts?

Any comments are appreciated thanks!

The waterpump is fine, but you need to match your timing belt with whatever water pump you are using. I would get a ITR/GSR oil pump though as well, im not sure how completely accurate these specs are, but..

i think all the obd2 b series oil pumps are the same. you need to get the gsr water pump, timing belt and headstuds.

yes, get the arp replacement rod studs. they are dirt cheap like 40 bucks for ls/b20 rods.

yes upgrade the rod bolts.
the timing belt will probably be super tight due to the GSR water pump having a slightly larger drive than others, not sure if there is a timing belt that is slightly longer than the b20 one
I managed to get the b20 belt on my setup though, and have been spinning 7500 for 25,000 kms no problems, no signs of wear yet.

if you're using a gsr/itr water pump, you need a gsr/itr timing belt.
