95 civic timing belt rattle noise
Just got done doing my timing belf on 95 honda civic. I hear a vibration/rattle noise from inside the timing belt cover. Maybe i miss something, harmonic thinf is loose or maybe my belt it self is loose? Anyone got any feedback 4 me? Thanks

well as far as i know your timing belt cant be lose or it will get out of timing maybe is it just hits on the cover
RonJ@ht I’m hoping I did install the concave timing plates at the bottom, I believe they are two }III{. Something like that? I gotta feeling I got redo it.
Honda az, It sound like a slapping the cover, but also a vibration, harmonic deal needs to be adjusted or forgot to loosen or secure it. I know u have to tight the spring retainer to put the belt on, I’m suspect the timing is not snug.
Special Brownie, I did torque my bottom pulley to spec, 185 lbs
Chances are, I’m redoing it. Hate doing things twice.

Very nice! I have D15B7 engine. My timing marks are not the same when setting ignition timing. White mark way out of the spec, so I lines up the middle red line in the v pointer. Im I looking at the same engine on the manuel ur offering?
Anyway, Im back. Disconected all the belts and rmove the timing belt cover. Could not hear the slaping noise once the cover was off, bit I did notice the timing belt was vibrating alot, once i tune the motor on with out the cover off. Re adjust the tension on the the timing belt? Ayone?
Done deal! I retentioned the Tbelt, but I had to replade the A/C belt pulley, that was cause to laod noise and vibration. Thanks folks.
