I looked through the 11 page thread, but couldn't find an answer.

If you have the EX / Si 96-00 Seats with the two adjustment ***** on the side, will it work with the s2000 pan / seat swap or do you NEED the EK seats without the *****?

get sedan seats, they have no *****. Or at least the 96/97 didnt have *****

 

I know what seats to buy, my question is whether or not I need to buy them? I'd rather just use my current em1 seats as the donor.

I saw a write up where a guy took apart the seats and added the folding parts to the s2000 seats, he pretty much dissected them.

It can be done with a little work, the write up is here somewhere.

 

I would just swap it with Integra pan that doesn't have the ***** and use the EK rails. The S2k seats are buckety enough and don't really need adjustments. Just gets a bit uncomfortable on long trips.

 

thanks. I think what I'll do is if I can't find a set of OEM seats without ***** is do the passenger side first and see if while doing it that the **** system will get in the way.

I understand the swap, I just want to see if the pan with the adjustment ***** will work or not. But it doesn't matter, the seats are coming in today so I'll just find out on my own

I created this thread to answer this specific question... Guess you weren't searching with the right terms...

It will work with the height adjusters but it isn't ideal, you will have to turn the ***** all the way down to even get it to look decent... I ended up getting a pan with no ***** afterward but drove around with the height adjustible pan for a while...

 

thanks! That's exactly what I was looking for. My question is, maybe you could just take the ***** / shaft out of the civic pan? Making it like the pan without adjustment from the DX models.

From what I remember I don't think you would be able to... Its just one big square piece that slides up and down...

I got a DX seat pan here on HT for $20 shipped... Just post a WTB in the marketplace...

 

Yeah, I did the swap yesterday. I got the pan to fit but like you said it's no where like it was on the passenger side (with no *****). I'm on the look out for a seat pan or seat.
