Icon4 Choosing a Trim Level for my next car purchase

I'm looking to purchase a 2004 or 2005 Civic. My creature comforts must include: automatic, A/C, CD, power locks/doors and cruise control. My guess is I am seeking the LX. Now what the heck is an LX-G? Does this level include cruise control? It seems it's a rare find, as most people stick with the DX with air (DX-G?) and the Special Edition (SE).

I've searched on Edmunds to read through the model spec options, but I'd just like to be able to eliminate certain trims that are not equipped with cruise. Little help?

I used to own a '95 Civic before it was totalled by some old lady. Now I'm back on the horse with a much safer, better-built Civic gen.

I'd recommend getting an EX or an EX Special Edition. They've got the moonroof, which is ever so nice.

Plus you get more powerful engine 127 vs 115, ABS, moonroof, alloy wheels. If you plan on doing engine mods, get a MANUAL!!!!!!!!!!!!

best thing to do is the SI version, they have everything but leather i do believe.
LX models do have all your comforts, but since you got a few you might as well get the best lol the price ranges arent too far off.

hey thanks for the head's up on the different engine option on the EX trim. 115hp to 127hp is a bonus. I'm not looking for an SI manual as the goal of the vehicle is a daily driver in the city.

I am from Canada but I do believe our available trims (minus the DX-G and LX-G which I'm still trying to figure out what the G stands for) are the same.

Just to help me visualize, can somebody post their LX's and EX's so I can spot the differences (ei.: wheels, body-colored door handles, mirrors, etc..)

my buddie got an 04 Civic SI Automatic. His door handles are black and the trim on the trunk is black.
rest of the car is Gray. only difference is the wheels for appearances.

you can get an si coupe or sedan (04-05) in canada (same as usa EX coupe)

you might want to get some insurance quotes before you buy. my si came out to be quite a bit more money to insure compared to my old lx coupe.
