So I just got a 01 Accord EX... I went to install an aftermarket cd player into the car.... I used a harness to do this... and I hooked up the orange illumination wire which I have been told is a big no no... Now I have no dash lights or tail lights... I tested all my fuses and all appear to be in good working order.. I have done hours of research on the internet and discovered 2 things... 1 being that the driver's side multiplexer unit may have been fried so I got one from a junk yard but that changed nothing but made my headlights not work either (I didn't get an EX multiplexer so I got that fixed)... 2 Ive heard that it frys the dimmer switch but you can jump two wires to bypass that and have constant on bright dash lights... My problem is I can't for the life of me figure out which two wires to jump...Any help would be greatly appreciated... Thanks

 

If you were told it was a "no no". Why did you do the dumb thing by hooking it up? Stupid is as stupid does I guess.

 

its just a fuse believe me i just blew one the other night on a civic doing that. check the one again that says tail/dash.

 

be sure to check the exact one first

Ok what fuse do I check... The ones under the hood are all good and all the ones in the drivers door jam are all good too??

 

small light fuse under the hood its a 7.5 amp

 

Muse panel under the hood says nothing about a small lights fuse... But I checked all the fuses and they were all good... I will triple check them in the daylight tomorrow to make sure again... anyone else got any ideas if its not the fuse...

 

it is a small lights fuse it should be under the hood but may be under the dash

 

Finally found it... 10 amp fuse in the passenger side door jam fuse box.... thanks for the help guys...

 

hi I recently knocked out my dash and rear lights and was thinking I need a new multiplex unit.. which 10a fuse was it that was causing you the issue?
