Thanks. Took turbo apart to reclock it and it was absolutley perfect, especially for 23yrs old. No shaft play either way beside minimal play turbo have.
Been messin around with it, seems best about 2700-3000. Got it set at 2752 now. kicks real hard.
its defying what everyone thinks of the d16y5. With so much more potential.

just over 1000 miles. Most break due to low dp clearance to the ground. Not the case here. Plus i reenforced it. Also got a cast manifold, finishing up the p&p if it breaks.
Manifold really helps on spool up over cast.

Do you retain the VTEC-E with your chipped ECU?

Im thinking if you got a newer turbo with a better design and compressor map instead of some 25 year old snail, your 200 benchmark can attained easily..

Good luck on your build buddy!

How did you get past the primary and secondary o2 issue with the turbo manifold?

Sorry for bringing this back to life....

Did you do anything to the motor or is it completely completely stock? What ECU are you using and how much HP are you pushing?

Cool to see people boosting the hx motors i have a 2000 hx and i had my bone stock y5 boosted on 12 psi for a few months with an ebay kit on hondata the car was so much fun and would keep up with stock sti veloster turbos and a few other cars. after about 6000 miles of abuse she finally blew the headgasket but was fune while she lasted lol.
