Hey guys, got a new 95 Civic DX. Check engine light was showing. Changed O2 sensor and it went away. Now, when i drive the car, the car hiccups as if there is no gas and then almost turns off but doesn't and the check engine light comes on. Its an OBD1 ecu so can't test the jumpers with a scanner.

I know u can use a pin to jump the ECU cable to get a blinking code. However, the check engine light turns off when the car is turned off and stays off when turned on until the HICCUPS. Is it safe to jump the PIN while the car is running???

 

^Yes. If you read the CEL thread it states this for OBD1 ecus.
