B16A SWAP IN EK THE RIGHT WAY HELP!!!!
ok like the title says im in the process of doing a swap on my 96 hatch right now i took the single cam out. forgot the hatch was and auto to manual swap also
now my question is whats the proper way of swapping motor?
i know i need a b16a2 t bracket and shift linkage and motor mounts got all three
now my biggest question is wiring! i ended up buying a b16a2 harness but my hatch is a 96 people tell me you can do it and just get jumpers and other people tell me i need a 99-00 inside cabin harness too my other friend said look for a 96-98 ex harness and it should work my other concern is would i pass emissions?
i know this have been talked about and im going to get response like search. I just need someone to point me in the right direction im spending way to much money and my girl is getting pissed cause i keep taking out loans lol

you could mod your stock harness and just remove the auto parts or just tape them up but the 96-98 ex manual would be easier remember depending on where you hooked up your reverse light's you might have to move them (i hooked mine up to the auto plug for the ecu). ether way you will have to swap some plugs and extend some wires as for the ecu a jumper harness is way easier then changing the cabin harness. if you run all the 99-00 si stuff you shouldn't have any problem passing emmisions.

now one question if i run 96 -98 engine harness what are my chances for passing emissions? other thing what wires would i need from the inside the cabin from an 99-00 civic?
If you're using a '99 - '00 engine harness pretty much everything.
