93 EJ1 wont start (sat for 2 months)
Ok, so i have a 93 civic that doesnt seem to want to start. It was my Daily driver until the hood popped up and busted my windshield. It started everytime, ran like a top, overall a pretty decent little car. But after my windshield broke i didnt have money to fix it, so the car sat for a little over 2 months without being driven. Now i have the money to get the windshield fixed, so i went to go start it up.
It turns over and over, but it doesnt start. I put gas in it, to make sure my gas hadnt evaporated, still the same problem. Occaisonally if i try to start it multiple times in rapid succession, i will hear an exhaust note for about half of a second then it just dies. The only problem i know of before it sat was that the muffler isnt connected to the rest of the exhaust. Basically, i just need to know what i should check. What are my most likely causes to this issue?
Also as a note, when i took off my gas cap to put in more gas, you could hear the back pressure in my tank. Is this normal? Obviously i dont know much about cars.
Ask any questions you need that might help diagnose this problem.
I'd appreciate any help i can get.

I live close to the bay and when i had my car sitting in my driveway for about six months everything got oxidized like vdubdave91 said check for spark. I would start by pulling your cap off and make sure your points are not oxidized.
Ok,so i jumped it, it started and died. Started it back up a couple more times, same thing. Finally it stayed started, and i drove it a couple blocks and back, and turned it off. Then it wouldnt start back up, it turned over but it was like a half assed turnover. Does this sound like its my battery or my starter? Sounds to me like its my battery, but im not 100%.
*note*
It isnt the same turning over with no start, as it was before i jumped it. If that makes any sense. Like it would turn over and over before i jumped it, now it turns over for a second then it kinda dies off from turning over. Sorry i dont know the technical terms, thats the best way i can describe it.
