Default B16 Build

So i showed up around 330 pm. Much props to ewok1 for throwing the whole meet. It was pretty bad ***, but i realized i need a good swap now. So heres the deal im looking at b16 blocks and they seem pretty cheap, for just the short block. Saw one for 60 with a crank and pistons, and i thought of building one using multi-oem parts. Thinking a b16 crankshaft, ls rods, itr pistons, gsr head, gsr intake or b16. Thats just a list but also without tuning i suck at it. id use say a, usdm ecu, im open to opinions, advice but no hate. Plan on putting all this on my ed6. to get it bard smogged but have a nice set-up.

From my knowledge LS rods will not work on, for they dont have oil squirters.

^Yup, they just dip into the oil about a zillion times a second.
theres like 2/3 diff types of dc2 piston though, jdm ones got higher comp aswell round 11.1 or 11.2 me thinks where as usdm Teg has mid 10's comp ratio, run the crazy high comp jdm effort + thin gasket +high cams + titanium bits + itb+ rocket fuel pump gas = gota love the high comp efforts

get a ls cant go wrong there. But if your going to auto x get the b16 or a gsr. both are good engines and both rev up to 8k.

get a blox/skunk2/edelbrock mani, get some crower cams, but youll need to upgrade your valve stems/seals

If you're worried about CA laws just get a bone stock GSR and call it a day. If you're really into the b16 block then look at throwing the internals from a b17. b17 crank, rods, and RS p30 STD or half oversize pistons. You'll be right at 10.9:1 or 11.0:1 which will be a really nice compression for a mild street motor. But then again thats just the same as a b17 just with a b16 badge.
