Default looking to source centrifugal supercharger

Looking to buy a used centrifugal supercharger for my jdm h22a. I don't need to hear "I should turbo instead or NOS" etc.

For the 2.2 displacement, what specs for the supercharger are best for ~ 250-260 hp and where is a good place to find the head unit online? It can be new or used (I can rebuild it myself no problem if needed but would prefer if it is used and in good working condition). Also, not looking for a kit.

Application, I will be installing it inplace of my AC so it should be a front exiting supercharger into a 90' elbow, than into the intercooler, than back up to my intake. I will be custom fabbing the mount etc but if there is a mount available for what ever centrifugal supercharger recommended to place it in my AC's origional location, I'd love to hear about it and have it sourced.

I've heard oil cooled is a more reliable setup, is this always the case or is water cooled just as good? I don't mind pulling my oil pan off and tapping in the oil feed/return lines but if I don't need to, I would be happy with that too if the reliability isn't hindered.

Also, do ALL Centrifugal superchargers come with the internal bypass valve? Or do I need to purchase a wastegate or blow off valve for compressor surges etc.?

Lastly, I'd like to size my injectors. My current injectors are 340s I believe, and I believe its inadiquite for what I intend. Which injector size should I be looking at? 400's? or even higher?

Thanks for your help in advance and sorry if I could have found this all through searching but from what I can find, I could be looking for days and figured some nice people here could save me a few hours with information off the top of their heads.

In all honesty, you'll have an EASIER time getting a JRSC kit on there. It will be less fabbing even with an aftercooler added on. It won't make 400whp, but with a modded case it will get close. It will also make much more low & mid range power. A turbo will also be easier and cheaper, and just as fast if not faster (with a properly sized turbo).

Other than that, I can't help much with the original question. I've never actually seen anyone selling a used centrifugal SC that just needed a rebuild. Usually you see them sized for 500+ whp for V8's, and they beat the **** out of them racing them. I've only seen one teggy with an ATI setup on it.

This is true. You may want to go ahead and call Vortech to get some additional information on the stuff that you need.

I havn't seen any low boost application centrifugal SC's either. Most are 20psi /500 hp+ and up.

The fabrication isn't hard, I'm quite good with that. JRSC's are a roots based SC. I'm not going that road though. Centrifugal is the way to go if your going to supercharge. Roots based systems are inefficient and ugly in my opinion. Alot of work too, compaired to a centrifugal system.

Have you seen the price of a vortech SC? I could buy a mediocre whole turbo kit, ecu, and have it tuned for just the price of the SC head unit lol.

Turbo's are good for high power output, I am after low end torque however. I'm quite happy with the horse power the jdm h22a puts out.

Anyways, thanks all for the input (except the last person because he did exactly what I asked him not to do which was advise something outside of what I was asking but thats to be expected here from those who just wanna see them selves type /hear themselves talk lol )

1. notice you said turbo or nos
2. if you had used the damn search button you would have known centrifugal supercharger and honda dont go well together.
3. learn how to use the search button stop trying to be spoon fed

If you were smart you would see that for roughly the same amount of $ as the centrifugal supercharger the build I gave you can make the power you want and be more reliable

Sorry bud but This is not a V6/V8... the centrifugal style blowers on a honda 4 cylinder are terrible, They make very little bottom end improvement. It will feel like a big turbo with out the big power at the end. The roots blower is not inefficient but do make tons low and mid making the b series feel like you just tripled the displacement, A centrifugal will not do that for you. Sounds like you need to do a little more research. I have been around it all in the 4 cyl world and a roots or turbo is the only way to go.
