ls tranny question ?

Default ls tranny question ?

ok so last night my car wouldnt go into first so i poped it back into neutral and then it went into first i start driving and the wheels lock up. i park it it wouldnt go into any gears and when i got it into reverse it would start to jerk and thern launch it woulnd go into 4th or 1st the whole ride home . i wake up this mornin and it drives fine wtf happened. also now when the clutch is up it makes a wierd sound and when i put the clutch down it goes away. - thanks

Bearing in the transmission is bad if its making noise with clutch engaged, of its not going into gear you may have a broken shift fork or other internal damage besides that.

so in other words i should just buy a new tranny ?

I'd pull it apart first and see what the damage is.

had this happen a long time ago. Turned out when i bought the car it didnt have any tranny fulid in it, drove it home and **** started going bad. Trannys get pissed when they arent properly lubricated, kinda sounds like you have a bearing issue to me. I vote, take it apart. Its really easy to see what went wrong.
