so i put a gsr motor and the associated 5 spd fwd tranny in my crv.
used to be an auto, base model 97.. now it's more fun.
only problem i ran into was the civic shifter sits about level to the seat adjuster. soo my solution is this beast....

(modded stock civic shifter)
only problems i'm having are a lack of cruise control and starter switch function.. lulz. sometime this week i'll start looking into these issues.
i'm not posting any more pics of my slammed caboose because it looks like a crv but low, and the engine bay looks like any other swapped civic.
next is the 9" wide wheels and some suspension thats actually up to the task. might even start a build thread when more parts come in.
cheers :bang:

EDIT: fixed the starter issue and the cruise

I was going to put a gsr in my crv but I couldn't find any concreate info on it and didn't want to do trial and error because I daily drive my crv and my b20 runs GOOD and the previous owner like 8k miles b4 I bought it put a new timing belt water pump etc on it so I figure I would just do some other mods for now but will probably put in a different motor down the road ...... What issues did u run into ? What harness and mounts did you use and what ecu are you running ? Thanx in advance
Wow, I would love to see your work.
I saw this done but this was back in the day, the owner of "Autolink" (a local shop that is now closed) had her CRV done up similar to that and was turbo'd.

there is a brace on the subframe i had to clearance a little for the shifter.. then just ek mounts and the crv bracket on the driver side motor mount.
used the crv axles with the gsr half shaft..
ecu is some random dx or something computer i added vtec and chipped with a obd2a > 1 jumper to the crv harness.
even though the 97s only came in auto, all the places to mount the pedals and stuff were already there.. but i think i bought the last 5spd crv brake pedal in the country.. civic brake pedal will not work by any stretch.
random thoughts.. probably should've planned this response a little better.
it's really a fun little suv now. i kinda planned it after i took my ek hatch and acura tl off the road to sell. the crv has all the fun of the civic and all the power accessories the tl had.. just without the drawbacks. acura gets average gas mileage but feels a bit too old man style, and the civic lacks every amenity of any kind.

I think this may be the most amazing thing I have seen. I have always been in love with the idea of a CRv motor in a civic or integra. It never occured to me that a GSR motor should be put into a CRV. I have read over it like nine million times and it's genius. The one pic of it sitting in the engine bay reminds me why I enjoy this stuff so much, its simply insane.
cool, i remember reading superstreet back in the day, where someone did a b20/vtec with a greddy turbo kit. it was blue with racing harts...**** was cool.
now make it 4wd.
