I'm looking to swap a b16 into a friends 94 civic dx coupe.hes worried about the wiring so I'm trying to figure the best way to hook vtec up.would you use a vtec sub-harness and wire it straight to the ecu?is the dx dash harness the same as and ex dash harness?can i use a 92-95 civic sohc vtec harness?just looking for the best way to wire in his vtec.i used my stock ex harness which i extended to work for my b16.any suggestions would be appreciated thanks.

 

I have a friend who used a d16z6 ecu on his b16a2 ... so i guess that the d16z6 harness should work just fine .

 

i think you'll have to go the sub-harness way. the dx cabin harness doesn't have the vtec wires in it. that's why the pin #'s for vtec are empty on the ecu plugins. you can get them from rywire for i think $60 or find them on ebay for cheaper.

 

yeah thats what i thought,my friend is stressing on it,lol.only reason he hasnt got the swap.ive swapped a cabin harness before this cant be as bad.thanks
