How do you know? At any rate I would check the cam seals and make sure everything in the head is trq. to spec. Next try the oil filter and drain plug. maybe you forgot?
My buddie had a chev 350 and a cam nut wasnt in far enough and it wasnt getting ne oil. Once it was tighted to spec he got oil pressure. Good luck

You said that you just did some head work, and then this problem accured so that is a good start to start double/tripple checking what you did in the head. On your intake/exhaust rocker shaft orifices you have o-rings, plus did you make sure they were clear, sometimes with time buildup will acure and clog them. In the center of the Head there is a dowel pin with a o-ring, your #3(center) camshaft holder bolts down onto it, if the o-ring is replaced with too thick of one it does not seal which can cause low oil pressure. The last thing I can think of is the dowel pins to the Block/head, if they are not perfectly clean, smooth, and easy to remove/insert they can cause the head not to seat/seal on the block properly, which in turn could give you a low pressure.

How is your idle speed, does the light only come on at idle? Is your idle too low?

I have IMed you and you are not responding. You don't have a Low oil pressure MIL, so what is your oil pressure at idle (it should be 750rpm) and what is your oil pressure at 3000 rpm? Is this with a good accurate pressure gauge? Are you getting a CEL that has something to do with your Vtec not getting enough oil pressure? Tell me more what is going on, I want to help you out.
