I would say 550 is a little high i would do the 044 also. They do really well with the id1000s.

it will work fine, I have built many cars that made over 550 with just a walbro. You could add a relay and run 10 gauge wire to it just to be safe.

thats exactly what i was thinking. i just dont want to go and get it tuned and then my tuner turns around and says "it made 550 and wanted more but the 255 couldnt cope" theres another £500 i will need after i get the inline 044 for tuning.

what do people think it will make?? heres the spec

b18c 83mm
darton steel liners
wiseco 8:5:1 pistons
eagle rods
garrett GT35r with 1.06 housing
spooling performance top mount mani with 38mm tial wastegate
hondata s300 with the pwm components
id 1000's
edelbrock victor x inlet mani bored to 70mm
omni power 70mm throttle body
3" ally boost pipes
custom brian crower stage 3 turbo cams
brian crower titanium valve springs and retainers
0.25mm over sized brian crower valves
car will be run on 97-99 octane

what sort off power am i looking at? im in the uk so dont know whether the power figures will alter from country to country.

I plan on running around 24psi

will my 255 be enough?

Yes. I take it for drag racing only? For 97-99RON octane, you're sure running some relatively low compression (hope you weren't trying to copy the compression of the MItsubishi Evolution and the Seat Octavia cars), as good compression with a Honda is a good thing. I'd raise the compression to at least 9.0:1, get rid of the "turbo cams" from Brian Crower, (which are made for much smaller turbochargers), and go for either Skunk2 Pro1 or the Kelford NA cams from NZ. You also have a relatively large exhaust housing, so response might be compromised quite a bit. .82A/R is perfectly fine.

"Power" goals in the US are to the actual wheels accounting for driveline loss, while the UK's principle are BHP, which may not account for driveline loss through the transmission as a measure of power. Otherwise, its about the same.

There not actualy brian crowers own specs, my engine builder has been trying different cam profiles over the years and has come up with these. T hey are a brian crower blank camshaft with my engine builders specs, they are extremely aggressive cams and should be up for the job. As for the compression ratio the engine is already built and ready to put in unfortunately, if the off boost driving is far too slugish then i will invest in some higher compression pistons.
Also the car will be used mainly for the drag strip with minimal street use. shodan do you reckon i could hit a high 10 with some nice slicks on? im using the s9b box with lsd.

Provided you have the driving "seat time", I don't see why not. As for the LSD, the OEM Torsen LSD was not made to work that way in drag racing, and won't be that effective with a slick tire . You may need to invest in something more aggressive like a helical LSD or even a SPOOL if you're serious enough. If you do decide to go those routes, it may be best to invest in a good set of axles as well.

x2, and just get a 044 or you will be maxed out on your walbro. Cheaper to get it now then retune after you're not satisfied. my .02
