Turbo Build-Up PUMP gas check-in...what you making? all series engines appriciated!
so lets hear what kind of pump gas dyno numbers people are pulling off. many people wonder about this and ask, but usually get estimations and educated guesses! if you have your results with plain ol' pump gas, please post em, and a setup discreption(c.r. is critical). NOW LETS SEE SOME PUMP GAS POWWA...

Jeff aka Boosted-Hybrid, makes good power on pump gas plus he has a stock motor.
Stock GSR Motor
Full-Race Kit
354 11 psi Pump Gas.
I think I got everything right.

the funny part is that thing is down tuned soooooo much becuase he wants it to last for a while. its sickening
nothing special , but i have made 350 without much stress on pump gas. im shooting for atleast 450 on pump gas next week

I'm hoping to crack the 500 WHP barrier soon with my new motor! Custom 8:1 CP pistons, swain coated domes and skirts, swain coated combustion chambers, and a T3/T67. If I don't hit 500 i'll throw in some meth injection.
If you think it's impossible, look at what the full-race guys are doing. 420 WHP @ 14 psi on an LS/VTEC with an unported head. If people are running 20 pounds of boost on 9:1 and pump gas, since I went 8:1 for a larger safety margin why can't I run 20 pounds of boost? Add in a ported head, bigger bore motor, JG intake manifold, ITR cams, and I don't see why it can't happen.

I just went through this last week or so....
9.8:1 compression flat-top CP pistons... about 9.5-9.6:1 with ITR head on.
400whp/300ft.lbs at 18psi, 93 octane from the local gas dump.

264@14 Psi on a 9:1 B16a with a stock head and GSR cams, sc34 turbo and an Inline Pro manifold.
93 Octane Exxon gas.
Upgrading my Intercooler and IC piping and looking to join the 300 club here shortly.

choice of engine doesnt really matter i guess when you are looking for max power in a thread but i just thought to myself that my daily driver one point sixxer makes over 300, i was very happy to say the least and really dont care if i make any more than that......a happy turbo honda owner!

For a "pure" pump gas setup i would run 8:5:1-9:1 (no higher), Smallest bore as possible (keep stock 81/81.5 bore), Keep timing VERY conservative, and make the power off the boost.
