ecu fuse question!
i was told to protect my car from theft all i have to do is remove the 7.5 fuse from the fuse box under the hood!
but i removed it today to test the thory and my car still started and ran fine!
why is this?
is this supposed to happen?

Who told you that?!? The 7.5 is the back-up fuse. It resets the ECU and stereo. I'd get a high quality alarm rather than pulling any fuses. Keyless entry and auto window cranking are bonuses with a decent alarm.
if you pulled the 15 amp ecu fuse the car wouldn't start. btw i think that would be a good way to keep your car from getting stolen. they would never know why it doesn't start, unless they knew their ****. it would get very annoying to have to keep pulling it every time you parked though.
Well you could easily run a swich to it, but it's still ghetto, and doesn't stop anyone from trashing your stuff, like an alarm would. Well at least it'd let you know if someone was.
