Default M&W Pro 10 Wiring....

So the M&W wiring diagram says that the Pro 10 should be hooked up directly to the battery and the wires shouldnt be more than 2.5 Metres in length. I searched and found that the recommended mounting position for the Pro 10 is in the engine bay, preferably by the headlight to get it rather isolated. My question is, what are you guys doing if you have relocated your battery to the trunk. How are you getting your power and ground?

I know what the manual says about having it directly hooked up to the battery, but would it be okay to source the power from the fusebox and ground it to the chassis using wires less than 2.5 metres in length? My fusebox is located next to the ecu.

What do you guys think?
