Default ported head question

anyone know what the typical gains are for k20 motors with this? pure curiosity cause im going to do this to my head on my ep3 since i have it off and getting worked on.

fyi i am getting my a3 head port and polished, yes i could've just got an a1 head or a2 head put on instead but thats not what i want to do so no trolls getting all pissy about "why dont you just do that, a3's are worthless blah blah blah!" im asking this question about porting because i've never heard of a k20 being ported, i want to see what anyone who has done this have gotten, like driving differences and power differences and efficiency differances, so if anyone has port and polished their heads please be more than welcomed to tell me your experiences. also grammar *****, i know my grammar is amazing, please note that if you attack me american and russian tanks will be at your doorsteps.

Russian tank! Ha Ha Russian prositutes are more dangerous than a russian tank. D&H racing have ported a3 motors. They say they unleash more power out of them. Give them a call and ask if they have any dyno charts on this motor.

lol yeah prostitutes are more dangerous, but you get to atleast enjoy a prostitute, not a tank knocking on your door lol, appreciate it though i'll hit them up.

hell most k20 heads dont get it done because u really gota be in like stage 3 cams kinda territory to really see gain out of it,.. i know some people send them in to get casting marks taken off and get port matched but honestly they flow perty damn well.. i know there are places doing cnc porting for the a2 z1 head.... vtec killer? anywho i kinda think it would be a waste of money on an a3.. btw im at wpafb.. we ship tanks all the time..

A buddy of mine ported my head by hand, I compared my build to a guy locally that has almost the same build and l got more than 20 more whp than him. Don't know if its because of different tuners which l doubt because my tune is conservative tune so it doesn't run lean. Just my .02.

20whp just from porting a3 head? sounds sorta high to me... I'd think your guess's prolly correct, good tuning matters!

K24a1 head probably flows the same as an a3 head. It has the same sorry 1 valve vtec system.
