Why does my 95 civic d16 only rev to like 4.5k rpm
I bought it from a friend and it was torn apart and i put it back together and when i start it, it has a rough idle and when i give it full gas it will only rev up to 3k rpm and when i give it about half throttle it will rev to 4.5k rpm, i know when i got the civic my friend gave me a ecu that wasn't for the car, i need a p28 ecu and he gave me a p07 ecu i think, and i have a ecu from a stock 95 d15b7 civic that is plug in right now and its making it run like what i said above, and when i try the p07 it doesn't want to start and when it does it will idle very low then quit, so can someone help me out?
pretty sure its called limp mode, go ahead and change your distributor out for a new one or rebuilt one and your problem should be fixed play boy
