Honda this, Honda that...
Just kidding.
After managing a 13.5 @ 92mph in my JDM GSR hatch on slicks, 13.7 @ 102mph in the same car on street tires (different days), 13.9 @ 98mph in my LS/V hatch on street tires, and 13.1 @ 104mph in my intake/exhaust LT1 Camaro on street tires... I decided to change it up a little.
Picked up an '04 SE-R Spec V with a few things done to it (treadstone turbo kit including a sc61 and other goodies) on 7ish psi. Car weighs 2640 w/o me on 17's and has a/c and power everything. On bald 17" Strata Xeno tires this was the outcome:
60'.......... 2.539
1/8......... 9.34 @ 83mph
1/4......... 14.01 @ 106mph
(Lost the slip)
The car spun all of 1st and 2nd, then bogged in 3rd due to some wires losing connection in the Apexi Neo (the person/shop that built the car ran the AFC wires through the glove box opening, causing the wires to be squeezed everytime the glove box is closed).
Anyways, left the track pretty disappointed at the trap, but not too bad considering the tires. I had a plan, though... lol, the obvious- raise the boost. Got the boost to 13 psi and got the AFC situated where it wouldn't have problems. Never had a chance to get better tires, and the tires I had were actually worse, but on a whim I decided to run the car. 13 psi and **** tires:

For anyone that may be interested in the setup:

Plans:
-Drag radials/skinnies
-Battery relocation
-Headlight intake
-Front end limiting straps
-Maybe some weight loss, but nothing extreme

Yeh the Spec-V is known for just spinning tires from that big motor. Raced a few back in the day with my 99-00 Si. the Spec-Vs would just spin all day and I would pull away in my "torque-less monster." lol...
more info on the lt1 camaro running 13.1 with just intake and exhaust. i have one too, intake, exhaust, and delteq individual coil setup, manual car. wondering what ill run when i finally hit the track.
Not too sure of the routes I can go, but I agree it needs to go when I can afford it.

One day.
