Getting pine sap off paint; and paint remover off lights...any help?
I took the "Civic" off my hatch last week. I used aircraft paint removed, and regular paint thinner to get everything off. Now, I have this residue where I wiped w/ the cloth. I don't know, but I think it's where the aircraft paint remover ate the clearcoat of the lights, or where it left deposits of it on the light. Anyone have any ideas?
Also, I made the mistake of actually parking my car under the pine tree in my back yard, and a drop of sap is now on my roof. What can I use to get this off w/o damaging the paint?
I have 'Goo Gone', but didn't want to try it on the paint.

well it probably ate your clearcoat off if u left it on too long. thats what happened on my bfs car bumper when he took off the prelude emblem. next time i would use automotive goo gone and wipe it off immediately
but for the sap automotive goo gone
its the safest
