Well my car has 15000 on it. Bought her brand new and have changed oil with redline synthetic every 2500 miles. this past week when i hop in the car in the afternoon for the first drive of the day, i turn the key and it takes abnormally long for the car to ignite.Hmmmm. Usually I twist the key and after one spark it starts, but for some reason it is taking kind of long. Then my idle goes down to 650 after it warms up, when it usually sits in the high 700 range. Anyone know what might be causing this. Are my plugs bad??Injectors?? Thanks for the help.

i have a 2000 r 30,000km and i am having the EXACT same problem. after it finially starts, my idle sits at 500-600. this happends randomly too. what the heck could be causing it??
I have been having the same problems starting my GSR, when I tried starting mine, I couldnt get anything. I had to put the code in for my radio, so I figured it was the battery, but after that it started fine. Today it took awhile, but it started.

When my car was new it had the same problems. Ever since I put the MSD in though, it has ceased to exist.

do this... turn the key where you see all the check lights.. wait for few seconds.. start.. - this will work all the time..
what causes it?
your fuel doesn't get there fast enough.. and you're getting too much spark - not enough fuel.. worn sparks/ignition make it a bit worse.

Try leaving the key on ACC for a little bit (3 seconds) to prime the fuel pump.
