Default 89 civic hatch si b20

i recently traded my 1993 ls vtec hatch for a 89 blown ls and was thinkin about a b20 but have heard good and bad things so i wanted to supercharge or maybe b20 vtec i am not real sure it has a b16 trans any input on what i should do would be great

i got a b20 but its in the family car so its not raced or anything like that. its a good motor plenty of power and there cheap and easy to come by.

yea i wanted to stay b series but i want some more torque and its not going to be a daily driver so

i had a b20 with p8r head in my si for a while it had a butttt load of tq but not much top end. personally i would stay away from b20's due to there diff sleeve design if you want it to last.

there is nothing wrong with b20's. why would they last for 150-200k in crv's and then suddenly blow up in 50 miles in a civic? there's nothing wrong with stock sleves as long as you don't put 5204902340982038 pounds of boost in them. plus no matter what you do if you super mod a motor and don't tune it it'll blow.
