So, i just went to get new tires with the intentions of getting my
car aligned as well because i've always been buying used tires and going through
them literally every month... i got falken ziex 14" tires for my hx's
spent 333 on these and i get a free alignment and free labor. but, i couldn't get the alignment
the same day because they said my car was too low.
the guy told me i had two weeks to bring my car up to factory height and bring them down an inch, but i would probably want them about 2 inches... wheels not tucked, but not such a big gap either. almost like skunk2 height. i say that because my brother had skunk2 lowering springs on his ek and i liked the height. i mean any height without stock gap or a big gap is fine with me and tires not tucked.
anyways, my car height was higher than my brother's and i was wondering why did my tires wear so fast? i don't get camber wear. i get wear on the outside of my wheels. a lot of people say if someone goes lower than 2" to get a camber kit and my brother's wheels lasted from when he got it and all the way till he sold it (a year) without any camber kit at all, sitting on oem struts and i change mine monthly and mine sits on konis. i never had an alignment and the guy just keeps suggesting a camber kit, but i'm not having camber wear. i don't get it. how low can i go without having to get a camber kit? what's your guys' experience?
anyone know the stock height for a del sol? i can't seem to find the info anywhere.

How low without a camber kit? As low as you want to go.
The tire wear is due to bad toe, which only an alignment can fix. And toe changes with ride height, so pick a final height, set it there, and find a shop that will align it.
