car still reving

in my 97 ek coupe when ever i press on the accelerator and let go the car is still reving wat is the problem help

Adjust the throttle cable to have 1/2" slack and clean the throttle body. If the problem persists, replace the throttle cable.

^^^^ Is most likely, but its possible that it could be a vacuum leak as well, so check for that.
