Default Re-welding open manifold to divided

Is it possible to re-weld a mild steel tubular manifold to make it a divided manifold? I have a very nice mild steel equal length manifold I'd like to have a welder to work on. Primarily add a piece of steel in the collector to divide the runners and weld on the proper divided flange.

Not 100% ideal, but I think it may be worth it if it can provide the desired results. And would be hella cheaper than a "quick spool" valve. Not sure I like the idea of that valve anyway.

what good is dividing it if the runner pairings don't match?

They do pair properly already....

Right now I get 25psi at about 5000 rpm. Precision 6062 turbo. If it gets me 250 rpm of spool I'd be thrilled.
