Im running Carbotech pads myself on OEM EK4 Disks and calipers and i find them amazing on track, they do take a few laps to heat up but once warm they are great and i have yet to have any noticable brake fade. The only downside to such an aggressive pad though is for road use they do create a bit of noise under light breaking and as i said before they need heat to work properly.
Moving on from this i will be upgrading to Prelude Si calipers and probably the same pad type with MG ZR 282 Rotor, this is used by alot of time attack guys in my area and is a pretty cheap upgrade from stock plus they fit (just about) under my 15inch Ce28N`s

this would be for DD , I see WAYYYYYYY to many with problems over the HAWK pads **** those things. I want nice and tight , not too much fade , must be quiet I cannot stand Squeaking , and must be good for heavy traffic around town.
What problems with hawk pads? I had hawk ceramics in my accord with brembo rotors and they were great, really quite, hardly any dust and breaked perfectly.
The only time they ever faded is when i was runing threw some twistes and going a little fast. But it took quite a while for them to fade.
This is what im getting for my civic, brembo rotors, front and rear. And hawk HPS pads. Just for a dd and with a itr break setup you really dont need much, that thing is already going to stop on a dime.

I'd get duralast rotors from autozone and for a street car, the pads I'd get are cobalt-gt, axxis ultimate, or hawk hps which are all pretty much oem replacements. Some squeak, but if you turn the radio up, the squeaking magically goes away.
i could have sworn i seen some brembo blanks for 30$ a rotor, and wouldnt have any problem paying 10$ more for a better brand rotor than duralast
and i'd get some ceramic duralast front n rears

Hawk HPS Pads, to be exact...

HPS are the 'softest' pads that Hawk makes, but they're still hard as hell, compared to most pads. You have to burn them in!
What I do is install them, then, take them for a ride. LoL!
I run my ride up to 60 MPH, then brake to 20. Then, back to 60. Then, back to 20, blah, blah, blah. By the time I get home, the paint is peeling off the backing plates, and they smell like a hot BBQ grill. After that, just drive them as normal.
If you don't do this, they won't work worth jack!
If you think this sounds goofy, read the Bed-In Instructions.
Quoted for truth!

as others have said some generic blank rotors and hawk hps pads. ive been using them on my DD car for a full year and they work flawlessly. if you get them, make sure you break them as the box says. i have used mine to slow down from really high speeds to ~20 and they havent faded yet. although at first they seem not to work that much differently than any other pad, once you start slamming on brakes and really heating them up, you will notice a difference. the build up of dust doesnt really bother me. i havent washed my car in almost 3 months (i know, i know) and the front wheels are barely brown.
