I made the mistake of buying a ram horn manifold off a guy on here. and i failed and forget to ask what the flange size for the wastegate. but when i reread his post he stated it was a 38mm flange. i made the mistake of over looking that. what can i do its a custom manifold, is there a flange avail like a t3/t4 flange or do i have to buy another manifold. im trying to fit a 44mmwg..

 

You can either cut the flange off and replace it w/ a 44mm flange or use a 38mm to 44mm adaptor flange

 

thanks i thought i had to buy another manifold

 

just realize that the best option is to have it modified, the 44mm gate wont work as well with the adaptor

If the manifold has been used i'd be less inclined to take this option. Also remember the 44mm gate has a smaller valve seat than 44mm, (more like 41mm IIRC) and the pipe that will have been used will be 38mm, so theres not a massive difference.

Ulitmately it depends what turbo the op is running if he will get creep or not.

 

 

Take it from someone who used an adapter on my old manifold for a VERY short period of time, have someone weld on a 44mm flange. Adapters are a pita. For virtually the same money and less headache you can take it to someone to weld up a new flange.
