type R strut bat into civic question.
It will fit, but you may have to add bolts of your car does not have them yet I have one on my EM1, which is very similar to the EG models in the engine bay

My 92 hatch had holes already, plugged with rubber grommets. If there aren't any for yours, they'll be like these indentations where you can drill.
Before with rubber grommets.

After with bar.

Rear ones fit too.

I'm not a fan of drilling into my chassis either. I'm incredibly **** retentive about my car in general. So I just steer clear of any strut bars that would require me to drill.
I mean, there are lots of other strut bars out there.

Yeah, but if you drill in the same location, which is there from the factory in the older models then I don't see any wrong in that. The spots to drill are clearly marked.
Just get a nice punch. Mark the hole. Use a small drillbit first. The finish off with one slightly wider than the bolt you'll be using.
eBay isn't the only option either. There's other three point strut bars including Rigid, Carbing, PW:JDM and Ultra Racing.
For those who want an alternative to the oem type R bar, another quality part i can give thumbs up to is the Spoon Sports/Vision bar. It is heavy duty, non adjustable and mounts to the strut towers for those would don't have or want to drill hole in their car......
