Default P28 Issue, Repairable?

Ok so I got tuned yesterday and I made 300WHP on the dyno @ 19PSI. After the tuner burned the chip and we put it in my ECU and went for a drive. It wasn't even hitting VTEC and it would hit the 2step for no reason. it seems to have an issue with the VSS input, although the speedo itself works perfectly fine, and the car runs fine with the tuner's ECU so I know its the ECU. I am going to go pick up another P28 today but I was wondering if there is any way to fix the ECU? If anyone knows what chip controls/receives signal from the VSS since my friends dad is very good with circuit's and can repair circuit boards I would just need to know what to replace. Thanks in Advance.

Send it to them and they'll fix it. If not then goodluck. My ecu was throwing a code 4 in everysingle car. Paid $25 for the service and $20 for shipping. Works good again.

This is why I only tune with the customer's ECU and have been for the last few years...unless the circumstances make it so I have to use one of my tuner ECUs. I have seen differences in customers voltages in the ECU, injector drivers can get "old" and boards with capacitors that are failing can act completely different with a chip versus a good or even just different ECU.

If your ECU is having a VSS input issue (never seen one of those personally, so I doubt I could fix it) you can disable the VTEC Speed Check, and disable 2 step in the meantime to get around that issue. Chances are likely too that if it is having an issue like this, you might have other internal issues not readily apparent but there nonetheless.

As far as figuring out which components are being effected, have your dad's friend trace the circuit from the ECU pin input for the VSS (B10) and trace it back through the board.
