The stock 99-00 ECU is OBD2b, so I think plug and play would be a 99-00 D16Y8 engine that came from a manual transmission Civic.

If the car originally had a D16Y8 from the factory it would be a coupe or sedan with a moonroof and power doors (locks, windows).

You can figure out what trim the car is by checking the 4-6 VIN digits.

EJ6 - D16Y7 (1.6L SOHC) (2/3/4 door)
EJ7 - D16Y5 (1.6L SOHC VTEC-E) (2 door)
EJ8 - D16Y8 (1.6L SOHC VTEC) (2/4 door)
EM1 - B16A2 (1.6L DOHC VTEC) (2 door)
EN1 - D16B5 (1.6L SOHC VTEC Compressed Natural Gas) (4 door)

If you check your VIN you can figure it out.

In fact, if you PM me your full VIN I'll tell you exactly what it is. Trim level and all.
