Hi everyone,

I have a 1997 Accord CD9 and i have a problem with my two power windows. When i pull down the window i can hear a disturbing noise. It happend only when the windows go down, not up. Anyone had it on his own car ? What is it ?

you need to take the door panel off and look inside while you run the glass down. motor should be okay since it's operable, but something is definitely wrong.

 

And this trouble on the driver side and the passenger side too...But actually i have no time to remove the door panel but i will someday. But this noise is like a piece is not right fixed and moving when the windows goes down...

 

nobody else has an idea of this power window problem ?

 

Maybe the regulator is bent and is hitting something on the way down.

 

you would think, though, that it would also make the noise on the way up???
It's almost impossible to know unless you look in the door.

 

It could be that it hits and jumps out of the way on the way down (making the noise), but only scrapes on the way up.

 

yes, possibly. it's strange that it's doing the same thing on both sides, unless they started at different times, which is more likely.

 

And i can't say when it started because i buy the accord with those noise. But the passenger side is less louder then the driver side...
