My ECT senor, single pin connector, the one that's under the distributor, is super loose to where my coolant gauge needle bounce to every bump on the road.

I want to avoid cutting the wire to the connector, any suggestions?

 

maybe take off the connector, and with a small pair of pliers squeeze it gently, then reconnect it. the only other way is to cut it and put on another fitting (female).

 

alright, ill give it a shot tomorrow.

 

honestly those connectors get brittle and break eventually. snip off the connector, strip some of the wire and use a red (22-18ga) butt connector as a new connection. fits perfectly over the sensor.

 

that's true, mines is cracked at the fitting and last resort is to snip them off and try your solution.
