Door Mirror Replacement on 99 V6 EX
My 99 V6 EX right door power mirror somehow not working (power mirror switch working fine on the driver side). I'm thinking to get one from the junk yard, but not sure it will match the color, so I want to swap the inside electrical mechanism into my old mirror housing, saving the color. Can you help me how to do it? Please...
Any help would be very gratefully appreciated

Make sure you really need to go through this before you do. Test the mirror out and the control circuit to be sure you need to go thru this much trouble.
Remove the mirror from the car. there should be an access hole under the mirror body. loosen the screw, but don't remove it. this allows the mirror glass to be tilted out of the housing. Once you have the glass out, it will probably still be attached to the body by the wiring. you should now be able to see the screws that hold the halves of the mirror body together. Once you take these screws out you should be able to get the body apart. If you can't get the harness pulled through the mirror body, you may need to cut it and splice it back together in the new mirror.

i took a look at hondapartsnow, and it looks like you can order the actuator assembly for about $30. That would be a better repair, since the part would be new for about the same money (maybe less) as a used one.
Thanks sgraham01, done, the center knot on the the actuator assembly was broken, the owner hot glue the mirror to it. I replaced the actuator assembly.

good to hear you got it done. I did something similar a few months back on an 01 Malibu to save the painted mirror head. It's definitely worth the trouble to not have to paint it.
