I have a 89 prelude it has the b2oa5 engine and d2a4 tranny. i race on a dirt track im turning about 5000 rpm is there a lower geared tranny that will fit my engine and would that help. any opinions or advice would be appreciated thanks

 

Custom Gearing?

 

You may just want to run a different size tire for now, assuming that's allowed in your class. Dunno if there are many other transmissions available

Explain (in better detail) what you're doing and people might offer suggestions. Also include how much you would be willing to spend.

 

i race on a 1/4 mile dirt track and im trying to raise my rpm but i dont want to lower the gear to much and break the engine. i need a trany with a better 2nd & 3rd gear i have the m2s4 3.307 1.857 1.320.......... im wondering how much difference a m2f4 3.307 1.950 1.360....... would make in gearing? and again thanks u have been a big help

I don't think you'll find anyone interested in swapping a D for an M. Google/ebay/craigslist will tell you what they cost.
