Default Put JDM D15B VTEC into EK Need Help.

I just took the Y7 out of my 2000 hatch and put in a obd1 D15B. I have quite a few questions!!!

I am using a p06 ecu with vtec. I am using my obd2b engine harness. I have a jumper for the harness to ECU. Why can't I just use the obd1 harness If I'm using an obd1 engine and ecu?

I put my obd2 alternator onto the d15b. I tried swapping the distributor as well but it did not fit the d15b. The obd1 dizzy has 2 plugs but my harness only has one. How do I rewire the dizzy to my harness?

Injector clips. The d15b has jdm prelude injectors. How do I rewire the Injectors to fit my obd2 harness?

Knock sensor. My harness has one but the d15b does not have a spot for one, what do I do with it? Will I throw a code if its not hooked up? Or can I just cut it off and not worry about the code because its an obd1 ecu?

Is there anything else I need to know? So far I have just dropped the motor in and called it a day. I decided to reuse my y7 tranny instead of the d15b just because I noticed the speed sensor was different, I figured one less thing to worry about.

the only stuff that needs changing is...alternater u can use ur obd2 injectors or splice and dice the obd1's ur gonna have to splice the dizzy also i just did a gsr swap into a 2000 ex i spliced the dizzy but 1 wire was left over(car still runs fine without it) and for the harness just stick wit the one u have or get ready for a head ache wit wiring..and ur knock sensor dnt need it on the obd1 motor it will throw a code but it should run fine..

The 2000 has a one piece design where as the OBD1 style has a two piece. Use your harness and 95% should be plug and play. You'll need to convert your IACV plug to two wire as opposed to 3 wire. Also your IAT is a different style plug so you'll want to swap that plug over as well. It just so happens its the same style as the IACV so get two of them if you can. You'll also need to wire up VTEC solenoid and VTEC pressure switch (see my signature if you need a harness)

You can either use a distributor adaptor for plug and play or swap out the internal wiring from the OBD2 onto the OBD1 housing. .

If you look in the plug on your civics injector plug you'll see a blue plastic square. just remove this and it should plug right in (considering the injector is OBD1 style)

D15B and the P06 (do you mean P08 ECU because the P06 is for nonVTEC D15B7?) ECU don't use a knock so you'll be fine.Just leave it hanging.

You should be fine with your Y7 transmission but if the D15B came with the transmission that came with the car the gearing will be MUCH improved over the Y7's. I have a 96 DX and the Y7 transmission is geared terrible for performance but great for gas mileage. The vehicle speed sensor should be the same but if not it should bolt up from your stock sensor.

I updated, because I saw you mean D15B VTEC, also check my signature if you need a wiring harness for cheap
