Default Hondata S300 USB issues

I am having issues with uploading the map to the ecu. The car has been down for about two months while I gathered the parts and now that I try to upload the map, the computer is not seeing the Hondata. I tried two different USB's and the options are still blank while the ignition is on. Even if I unplug it and replug it, there is no message tthat usually says a new device is connected or the sound that one makes when connected. I tried updating it in hondata but that doesn't work either. I even went into device manage and it is no there in the USD controller listing. What should I do, as this was working perfectly before I tore the engine down two months ago. Thanks.

Check your wiring in the engine bay...especially grounds. It sounds like the ECU may not be powering up.
